Friends Against China ?
India, US, and Japan seem to be the closest friends when it comes to counter China policy.
The trio counter China policy came into direct action when President Barack Obama was in the presidency and the same has been aggressively carried forward by Donald Trump. This has also led Improved Business and Political ties between the nations.
This is not only to limit China as one of the Economical Powers but also to not lose the world dominance of US.
Some of the main highlights of the mutual cooperation are Joint Malabar Exercise, US backing India for NSG membership and growing Investments in India from both the US and Japan are some of the key points to recall.
Japan Bullet Train Investment - All Indians will definitely remember the Japans Investment of INR 80,000 Cr for Indian Bullet train. This has surely won Indian hearts and bought Japan closer to the general public of India.
Sri Lankan President, Rajapakshe has recently asked India and Japan to Invest in their ports, seems like they have leased out their ports to China only to support their tumbling economy. We will have to wait and see how India and Japan respond to the offer and I believe India will surely jump into China considering rising security threats from China.
China is not leaving any available option to Increase its dominance along the India Seas, India has been doing all it can to improve the Military and navy power with the latest additions of Submarines and a long plan to add many variants of Submarines going forward.
Along with the mutual cooperation among the nations, Its the people of both the countries who are also supporting and believe the country is doing good when it comes to India's Foreign Policy and Defence policy.
India Lost Russian Support?
For decades, We have seen America supporting Pakistan and Russia supporting India.
India has been successful in pulling the US on our side, the credit goes to Narendra Modi as he has done all his best in exposing Pakistan at World Forms. In recent 4 years has done a number of foreign trips and in all his trip he has been trying to expose Pakistan on grounds of Terrorist activities.
Russia has always supported India when it comes to supporting India on World Forums, Defence Ties, Supply for War material, They are still the largest supplier of Defence Equipment to India.
The Russians and Americans have always been in cold war situation and they do not seem to like India rising engagements with the US.
Although we have never heard anything like that from Russia there are reasons for it. Recently, India in a defense deal for Indian Air Force, Opted for "Rafale" although Russian "MIG-35" was in consideration. India has been in talks with Israel and France for defense ties. This might be reducing India's dependency on Russia alone for their defense equipment. This is something which they may dislike but time will only tell how far and till where this relationship will continue.
Russia is a big power, not only the Economical Condition but also the Defence Power it has been for decades. India needs to keep good ties with Russia along with Japan and America, considering two of the Nuclear Powers in Asia region China and Pakistan have been standing against us and a weak India could give an opportunity to two neighbors.
